I am so excited! Today is my turn to share my simple and quick project. Yes, Easter is just around the corner so I made this simple and quick weave Easter basket.
Are you keeping your cardstock scrap or throwing them away? I hate discarding scraps so I keep them all. This Easter basket gives me fond memories of my childhood. Yes, I used to weave real small baskets made of bamboo and rattan when I was a young girl. I decorated them with pretty embellishments. I really miss those days and want to make some of those baskets again but I cannot find the raw materials here. So I made my own weave Easter basket consisting of cardstocks scrap. Instead of buying, just make your own! Isn’t this a great and wise way to save money? :) I love how it turned out and will make more for Angela’s classmates to give out on Easter Day.
This is the bigger basket.
the front
* Make an open box. The size it's up to you whatever you want.
* Cut your cardstocks scrap into strip then start weaving. Make sure you have enough to cover the box that you made.
* Adhere the woven cardstocks around the box then add embellishments it's your choice.
*Make a handle from the cardstocks scrap or use some of your ribbon scrap.
In my small basket I used scrap ribbon for the handle. That's how simple and quick to make these weave Easter basket and great way to use your scraps. It’s good for Easter treats for kids, party favor for Easter party or just uses whatever you want.
