Cuttlebug Sketch Hour By Lori Boyd & Jewellery Challenge

I almost forgot to upload my second bead jewelry. This is my entry for the Jewellery Challenge by Sarah. The challenge for this week is to follow the inspiration shown in the fabric photo. So I took the color white and yellow and the flowers on the wood beads. I just love these wood beads with yellow hibiscus flower, they're so pretty. I had a hard time putting the pendant together, it's look so easy but not. Anyway, I had a great time making my first bead necklace.

My weave card entry for Cuttlebug Sketch Hour by Lori Boyd . I really love it, this is so much fun! Just go ahead and pay her a visit on her amazing blog just click her name.I'm sure you'll love her blog full of inspiration. The complete tutorial please click HERE or you can see in her blog also on the side bar. The challenge is still on until tomorrow.

After weaving I embossed it, I used the spots & dots embossing folder and I added diamond stickles. For the sentiment I used my stamp "sending you love" from Hero Arts, my first time to use it. I know it's kind of messy but I'm trying to get better to use some stamps :) One of my special friend is encouraging me to use stamps. You know who you are :) Thanks a lot!

Graduation money lei for 2 challenges

At Rosie Dee's Challenge Blog Week #17 Rosie's challenge is to show and share your floral side. I used money folding flower and ribbons flowers with buttons..

This weeks challenge at Arty Girlz Challenge Blog is to use buttons on your creations, it must have at least 1 button on it. I used buttons in my flowers for the gradutaion money lei.

This was so much fun, my first time to make the money folding flower. I added the ribbon flower on top then attatched to the big ribbon. See the last photo for the whole lei.

This is the red ribbon flower, I learned this from my mother she was a dress making. She created pretty flowers from ribbons, buttons, laces and fabrics. I couldn't make as beautiful as hers. I sew a straight line on the other side and then pull the thread to form into circle then tied it and added the button on top.
This is the mini graduation cap that I made for the lei. I emptied the ribbon spool I took out the other side and then cover with black cardstock on the other side. I added the red stickles around it, red fibers and a crystal brad.
My friend asked me to make her a money lei. But I told her that I never made any lei before. But she beg me so for the very fisrt time I gave it a go. It's not too bad, I love how it turned out.

My Very First Jewelry

I thought I make a card for challenge site this morning but when I saw this wood flower bead that I bought long time ago. Then I changed my mind, yes I want to make a simple bracelet out of this beautiful beads. Well, I don't have a single tools for jewelry making. But I found the craft wire I don't mind if is for jewelry or not. I just made my pattern then start beading, but the hard part was the end I used the regular scissor to cut the wire and then twisted. It's good that I had this old bracelet around so I took out the locker then used it. Recycling is good :) The small pearl and crystal was from Angela's Beading Fun Pack. To be honest, Jenna inspired me with her gorgeous jewelry. Just click on her name to check and see all her beautiful hand made jewelries. Finally, I made my own first jewelry today and I'm so happy it turned out pretty good. When my daughters saw it they asked me if I will sell it on eBay but I told them no. I'll keep it and use it, hopefully I can find a better beads and make a matching necklace later.
And I entered my first jewelry at Jewellery Challange by Sarah.
